About me

I'm Timon Van Overveldt. This is my personal website, and ctrl + src is my technical blog. Both are a work in progress. All content reflects my personal opinion, and not that of my employer.

I am a software engineer currently working as a tech lead manager at Google Research, focusing on the cross-device Federated Learning and Federated Analytics infrastructure used in a number of Google products. Over the course of my career I've worked in areas such as computer security, large scale distributed systems, and client-side systems engineering.

Every once in a while I like to tinker with electronics and embedded systems programming in my spare time. Lately I've been experimenting with the RISC-V based ESP32 microcontrollers.

I go by timonvo on Github, and you can get in touch via [email protected].
